In this Caraway cookware review, we will tell you all that you need to know about this amazing set of pans and pots that are not only easy to cook with, but that also contain no toxic materials, come with convenient storage options, and that look simply stunning.
About Caraway Cookware
The brand Caraway Home, founded in 2018, is dedicated to crafting non-toxic, non-stick ceramic cookware. Their products are well-designed and, in their own words, meant to raise “the standards of what you cook with.”
The founder, Jordan Nathan, didn’t want to make peace with the fact that traditional non-stick pans release potentially harmful substances in just 2–3 minutes after being heated to 500°F. That’s why Caraway cookware items are designed with health and safety as primary considerations.
If you take a look at the Caraway cookware reviews on their official website, you’ll see that more than 37,000 buyers have evaluated the brand and its products, resulting in an overall rating of 4.8/5.
When testing the cookware, it didn’t take us long to understand why it’s so well-liked by both casual and committed cooks, but we also came across a couple of potential issues. However, let’s start by taking a look at what sets Caraway apart from its competitors.
What’s Unique About Caraway Cookware?
The most important thing to point out is that there are no chemicals like polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) in the cookware. Therefore, there’s no risk of potentially harmful substances coming into contact with your food or being released into the air.
In fact, the coating is mineral-based and non-toxic, providing you with, as the manufacturer puts it, “Kitchen essentials as clean as your ingredients.” It’s not surprising that the consumer reviews of Caraway cookware often point this out as one of the main draws of the product. The core of the cookware is aluminum, and the handles are made of stainless steel.
Of course, that’s not all that Caraway has to offer to its consumers. You also get:
- naturally slick and non-stick pans that require less oil or butter for cooking and less scrubbing when cleaning
- products that are designed with storage in mind — lid holder and pan rack for convenient storage included in the cookware set
- eco-friendly manufacturing with 60% lower CO2 production than traditional non-stick cookware
- ethical business practices, meeting the BSCI and SMETA standards and ensuring fair salaries, benefits, regulated work hours, and safety for the employees of the manufacturing partners
- eco-conscious recycled cardboard packaging with no plastic bags
- pots and pans that are compatible with top-tier induction cooktops, electric ranges, and gas stoves
Cookware Set Review
The more we look into it, the less surprised we are that Caraway non-toxic ceramic nonstick cookware set reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Here’s what’s included in the set:
- 10.5’’ fry pan
- 4.5qt sauté pan
- 3qt sauce pan
- 6.5qt Dutch oven
- 3 lids (one of them matching both the fry pan and the Dutch oven)
- 4 magnetic pan racks
- 1 canvas lid holder with 2 hooks
- 2 cork trivets
We were impressed by the packaging — the set looked like a gift. We were also pleased by the high-end look of the pans. Even when you’re not using them, they’ll look great next to your stylish knife set.
Caraway Home non-stick ceramic 7-pc cookware set reviews are also practically unanimous in praising the seven available basic colors (gray, cream, navy, sage, perracotta, marigold, and brick red). If you are willing to pay more for style, two limited edition colors (black and white) are also available.
The Modular Racks
Before we focus on the cookware itself, let’s first give credit to the modular racks included in the set.
Aside from helping you figure out how to organize kitchen drawers, cabinet, and countertop while still having all that you need at hand, these holders offer another benefit. Namely, they will also protect the cookware from scratches that would almost be inevitable if you simply stacked the pots and pans one atop of the other.
Of course, the real magic happened once we actually gave the Caraway cookware set a try. Smart design elements made our cooking much easier and more enjoyable.
We started with the fry pan, which was easy to handle and allowed us to cook vegetables with minimal oil and no sticking whatsoever. The pan also distributed heat evenly and quickly reached the desired temperature.
The same goes for Caraway sauté pan that we had no trouble using to prepare a delicious meal for the whole family because it can hold a ton of veggies and meat. What’s more, you can put it directly into the oven because it doesn’t have a plastic coating on the handle.
However, the sauce pan probably impressed us the most. After we made perfect pasta, it was clear why so many Caraway cookware reviews can’t omit to mention how versatile this pan is. Preparing asparagus, mushrooms, and halloumi cheese was also a breeze.
The modern Dutch oven resembles the typical great-grandmother’s pot — non-toxic and durable. Of course, good pots of this kind are difficult to find these days, and the best ones are often passed down through the generations.
Regardless of which pan we used or what meal we prepared, cleaning was effortless. In other words, the fact that you have to wash the cookware by hand is not as much of an issue as it might seem.
Caraway cookware can be bought online from their official site. All the items can be purchased individually, but it’s worth getting the entire set that includes three pans, a Dutch oven, and three low-profile lids for $545.00 (currently offered at a discount for $395.00).
Even though there’s no shortage of Caraway ceramic cookware reviews claiming that the price is the product’s main downside, even those complaining about the cost agreed that they got good value for their money.
If you don’t want the entire set, you can also buy the pieces individually:
- fry pan — $95.00
- sauté pan — $14.00
- sauce pan — $115.00
- Dutch oven — $135.00

Trial and Return Policy
The company offers a 30-day trial period during which you may test out their non-stick cookware sets and, if you are unhappy, return them free of charge for a full refund.
You have 45 days to ship the cookware back and obtain a refund after initiating the return process. To begin the process of returning Caraway pots and pans, you should use the returns portal on their website.
To be eligible for refunds, all original packing should be preserved, and all items returned. Caraway has the right to impose a 15% restocking and repackaging fee for products returned in bad condition or missing components. They can also refuse any return if the cookware is in exceptionally poor condition.
We were particularly pleased to learn that Caraway donates all the returned pans that had been used.
The brand provides a one-year warranty on products purchased directly from the company or authorized retailers. Caraway warrants to replace or repair products with defects, but not after breaching the instructions for use.
Since Caraway is not the only ceramic non-stick cookware brand on the market, why choose them? If attractive design, convenience, and easy cleaning are not enough to convince you, you still might be swayed by the high-quality materials, eco-conscious packaging, and the brand’s insistence on only working with manufacturing partners who follow ethical practices.
Where is Caraway cookware made?
Caraway cookware products are conceptualized and designed in the US, NYC. Then, the items are produced in world-class factories in China under strict ethical manufacturing practices.
Is Caraway cookware worth it?
The non-stick surface of Caraway cookware pans is outstanding; they also look great and are easy to clean, which makes them worth it. Although they are more expensive than the traditional non-stick cookware sets, the high-end performance and clean cooking are worth every penny.
Can Caraway pans go in the oven?
Yes, Caraway pans are oven-safe up to 550°F. You can use them on induction, gas, and electric stovetops, and if the meal requires it, you can put the pan in the oven to finish your culinary masterpiece.
How long does Caraway cookware last?
If properly used (hand-washing, letting the pan cool down after cooking, no metal utensils, no steel wool), Caraway promises that the pans and pots will continue looking good while we use them for intensive cooking because they are designed to last for years.
However, the pans are not indestructible, and some customers observed scratches or damage inside or outside the pans.
Why are my Caraway pans sticking?
Damaged coating is one of the possible reasons for your Caraway pans sticking, as is the age of the cookware, especially if you haven’t been taking particularly good care of it.
Of course, some foods are likelier to stick to the pan because of their nature, and in this case, it’s recommended to cool down the pan, gently scrub it with a sponge, and wash it by hand.
That being said, we didn’t encounter any similar issues when testing the set for our Caraway cookware review, and we are sure that it will serve us well for a while more.
