Astonished Doctors Cure Migraine with Veggie-Based Diet

Doctors are still baffled by the curious case of a man suffering from chronic migraines who managed to deal with the problem just by switching to a predominantly plant-based diet.

Reportedly eating a lot of dark-green, leafy vegetables, healthy grains, and fats for four months was enough for the 60-year old to become completely migraine-free. He has abandoned prescription medication for seven years now and is still living a headache-free life. 

Before doctors advised him to try the “Low Inflammatory Foods Every Day (LIFE diet),” the man suffered from debilitating migraine episodes that occurred up to 24 times per month. 

Migraine attacks were a part of his life for over 12 years, but they weren’t that frequent initially. However, within just two months of starting the diet, the number of migraines he suffered fell to just one per month. The migraines disappeared completely after the third month.

Besides medication, he also tried elimination diets, yoga, and meditation—all to no avail. After all that, it was this natural treatment that greatly exceeded expectations.

So, what do we mean by a low-inflammation diet?

LIFE nutrition means avoiding inflammation-boosting foods like red meats, sugary, overly processed foods, and alcohol. These should be replaced with fruits, healthy fats (omega-3 fatty acids), and lean proteins.

It seems almost certain that some of the bioactive compounds in the dark-green leafy vegetables had something to do with this man’s excellent results.

Luckily, these days, getting this type of nutrition isn’t hard given that there are plenty of vegetarian choices among the best-quality meal-delivery services.

While others are using modern relaxants like CBD gummies for headaches, a dietary change might be the answer that more than a billion migraine sufferers worldwide are looking for.   

Given these excellent results, it’s reasonable to think that the LIFE diet could be used to treat or help manage multiple chronic diseases from now on. Indeed, many health experts are calling for more research to be done following these findings.
